Megababe- Kate Sturino

Megababe by @the12ishstyle blogger Kate Sturino is probably the most intriguing new brand I’ve seen in beauty and skincare this season. Reasons to love Megababe?

1) It’s founded on the belief that we’re all cute as hell no matter our jeans size (Yes!)

2) It’s products deal with women’s bodies as they actually are: Thigh Rescue for chafing, Bust Dust for boob sweat, and Rosy Pits for stinky pits (Double Yes!)

3) Cool packaging and simple ingredients you’ll want to actually show off. (Yes! Yes! Yes!)

Model Meals – Danika Brysha

Curve model Danika Brysha started Model Meals, her Whole 30-compliant health meal delivery service out of her New York City apartment in 2014 after falling in love with the program. She wanted to use her platform as a “model” to show more people how their lives and well-being could change with healthier eating. She installed a second fridge in her apartment, started making meals for delivery and educating over Youtube, and then teamed up with Co-Founder Camille May to bring the company to the west coast. Model Meals’ weekly menu is now available in Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa and Sonoma Counties and Phoenix, Arizona.

Genheration – Katlyn Grasso

Katlyn Grasso got the idea for GenHERation when, in 2013, as a sophomore, she wondered why only 5.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs were women. She launched GenHeration by the time she was a senior to as a way create leadership opportunities for young women across America. Katlyn wanted to give everyone access to the kind of skills development necessary to rise into executive leadership positions and wanted to use her company as a way to bridge the corporate gender gap. GeHeration is a network where high school and college-age women and some of the world’s best companies connect through their digital platform, in-person events, and exclusive job opportunities. Katlyn’s been featured in Forbes, The Huffington Post and more and continues to produce fantastic video content with interviews from women leaders at some of best organizations in the world.

Further Food – Lillian Zhao

CEO Lillian Zhao first founded Further Food as an education platform to share holistic health solutions after experiencing years of chronic illness. The community began to grow and she soon used it as a launching pad to create food-based supplements that help promote optimal health and wellness. Her products include:

1) a vegan daily turmeric tonic (our favorite) that’s packed with adaptogens like schisandra berry and cardamom

2) a collagen peptides protein powder and a marine collagen powder that are said to support hair, skin, nails, gut health, and more.

Handful – Jennifer Ferguson

Group fitness instructor Jennifer Ferguson couldn’t find a sports bra that could keep up with her active lifestyle, so created her own. Handful began with a mission to inspire and celebrate women, she created bras to make you happy, feel your best, and fit with any activity. She’s since expanded to sports bras, tops, pants, and more.
